MASSAPEDIA NEWS - More than 60 thousand members of trade unions took to the streets in Brussels to protest against the planned reform of the labor laws of Belgium.
The action ended in an uproar because the protesters began to do a scene with throwing stones and firecrackers at police who then responded with water cannon sprays. As a result, 20 people were injured and 23 persons were arrested.

Not only that, these demonstrations also crippled several lines of transportation, such as railroads, which was forced to close temporarily.
This demonstration is the first agenda of an upcoming series of actions over the next few months, including on June 24 and Oct. 7, commemorating two of the founding of the center-right-leaning governments.

"Always the same wallet, they [the government] came to make money," said a protester from the province of Liege, Grace-Hollogne, told Reuters.
The union of these sectors was disappointed with the proposed revision of the law that is in them contained cancellation plan salary increases, electricity tax, changes in the retirement age to 67 years, and extending working hours from 38 hours to 45 hours.
